Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information Texas License Prep collects through texaslicenseprep.com, how we use it, and your choices. We collect as little as we need to run the Service.
Information we collect
- Purchase information. When you buy, our payment provider Lemon Squeezy collects your name, email address, billing details and payment information. We receive your email address, order details and access key. We never see or store your full card number.
- Study activity. Your practice exam answers, scores, topic results and history, linked to your access key, so you can see your progress across devices.
- Access and security data. A cookie that keeps you signed in on your device, a count of devices activated on your key, the number of exams started, and basic technical data such as IP address and browser type, used to protect the Service against sharing and abuse.
- Messages. If you email us, we keep the email and our reply.
How we use it
- To provide access, run practice exams and show your results.
- To enforce device and usage limits and prevent unauthorized sharing or copying.
- To answer support requests.
- To improve questions and the Service, using aggregated, non-identifying statistics (for example, which topics are most often missed).
We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we do not send marketing emails. Emails you receive are related to your purchase or a support request.
Who we share it with
- Lemon Squeezy, our merchant of record, which processes payments and issues receipts and access keys under its own privacy policy.
- Cloudflare, which hosts the website and stores Service data.
- Authorities, if required by law or to protect our rights.
Cookies
We use a small number of necessary cookies to keep you signed in and protect the Service, and your browser's local storage to keep an in-progress practice exam safe if your connection drops. We do not use advertising cookies or trackers. We may use privacy-friendly analytics that do not track you across other websites.
How long we keep it
We keep study and access data while your access is active and for a reasonable period afterward, then delete or anonymize it. Purchase records are kept as required for tax and accounting purposes.
Your choices
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information by emailing [email protected]. Deleting your data ends your access to saved progress. You can clear cookies in your browser at any time; you will need your access key to sign back in.
Children
The Service is intended for adults preparing for professional license exams and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards, including encrypted connections, to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure.
Changes
We may update this policy by posting a new version with a new effective date.
